The Unitard Executive
Note: After giving it some thought I made an executive decision of my own and completely altered the final panel of this 'toon. Believe me, this one's better.
Sincerely,

My Continuing Resolution is that the Republican Party is as useless as a load of dingo's kidneys.

In other "News of the Rich and Stupid" Cheeto Gestapo has declared it is illegal to boycott Tesla. Worst reverse psychology ever.
Plus, in an effort to support his evil henchmen (and illegal alien), Elon Muskrat, Trump has tweeted that he'll buy a Tesla. We can only hope then that Trump will equally support RFK Jr. by becoming infected with measles.

The following is something I wrote for a 'toon back in 2021. It aged well.
A proposal to update the Pledge of Allegiance, by the GOP:
"I pledge allegiance to the Nazi and Confederate flags of the Unitary Dictatorship of Trump, and to the Republican Party, which proudly stands to make a killing on the whole deal, a racially segregated nation, under the vaguely interpreted dictates of the Christian god of Prosperity Jesus, capriciously divisible, with liberty and justice and carryforward tax laws for all affluent caucasians."

I spent a lot of time on Wednesday writing/whining/warning to one and all my copious social media sites about the upcoming vote on the non-continuing resolution. It contained a nuclear/ebola bomb of a poison pill in it that would essentially make the U.S. Congress about as relevant as dial telephones.
House Republicans added a self-castrating clause in the non-CR that said "Here, Mr. President, and your faithful South African companion, feel free to decide who gets the money we've already allocated through legislation. We're certain that you'll make wise, rational choices and the world will be a better place for your mature wisdom is this regard."
Then Senate Democrats went "NAHHHHHHHHHH! We'll take the heat for a government shutdown because we'd rather enjoy what's left of this Democracy."
At least, so far. That final vote is yet to come this Friday but it appears Senate Democrats might just tall Trump to go eff himself. I just hope the vast swath of America voters who don't follow such things closely eventually learn just how bad it could have become and that we owe Mr. Schumer and his Senate cohorts a debt of gratitude.
