After I read that Nancy Pelosi suffered an injury while in Luxembourg and had to be hospitalized my first thought was "Well, at least she's in a country with socialized medicine."

Don't get paranoid but I have a tool that lets me see when people are on this website and approximately, very approximately, where they’re viewing it from. The tool used to provide IPs but that was deemed unnecessary or illegal. Now all I get is a city name based on the user’s closest server. When anyone uses a VPN I only see a placeholder somewhere in the middle of the US map named “United States”. Most of the action is, unsurprisingly, from North America because Raging Pencils focuses WAYYY too much on American politics for foreign tastes. But ya do what you gotta do.

It’s fascinating to watch readers log on and then log off, especially when a particular ‘toon of mine strikes the public’s fancy and cities beging popping up like fireworks, but one night about 3AM I checked the tool and discovered there was exactly one person on the site… someone in Moscow. And they were prowling the crooks and nannies of it for some time. A bit unnerving when you consider that the Russia gummint places strict regulations on internet access to the outside world.

Then there was the time when the site had just two viewers and they were both in China…
