Down
the
Memory Whole
The Supreme Court, 2000: "We're going to decide who
wins the Presidency, a Republican, but just this once."
The Supreme Cultists: 2024: "We're going to reinterpret
the 14th Amendment so an insurrectionist, a Republican, can
run for the Presidency, but just this once."
--------------
Supreme Courts: "Citizens United. Yeah, we know exactly what
that is. Heh-heh-heh."
--------------
Donald Trump saying he'd encourage Russia to attack NATO
countries, and that America would essentially stand aside
and just watch, is literally saying that every American soldier
who died or was horribly wounded in WWII fighting for a free
world, was a sucker and a loser.
You know, back in the 60s we had this idea that if all humans
on this planet wished for the same thing to happen at the
same time it could happen.
With that in mind, if anyone else wants to join me at 1PM
Tuesday in wishing a pack of rabid wolverines rip Trump's
tiny nut sack
off I'll
be glad to have you along for the ride.
--------------
Since the topic of memory is on the tongue of the media these
days, especially regarding President Biden, allow me to add
that when Marjorie Trailerpark Greene was questioned, in
April of 2022, about her part in the January 6th insurrection,
which she publicly and vociferously supported, she used the
phrases "I don't remember" and "I don't recall" in
answer to specific questions from government lawyers a total
of 92 times.
I know because I found the transcript and counted.
She may have given other similar responses but not in
those exact words.
So whose memory is faulty, Ms. Greene?
---------------
Technical Note: My original plan was to have the Supreme
Court building sag to the right with each successive frame but
I realized I'd get caught in the "stage right" or "stage
left" trap so I just left it as-is.
