I'm not kidding about the QOP's desire
to let Putin rob and rape Ukraine to his heart's content.
Though most House Republicans quietly oppose Ukraine's on-going
desire to remain a sovereign country eleven House members,
and you can probably guess who they are, showed dear old
Vladimir what good soldiers they are by backing
a measure to
slash military funding to Ukraine.

We've learned this week that Chinese surveillance balloons
over flew the U.S. during the Trump years. It was kept quiet
then because
the
U.S. military no doubt wanted to surveil them back quietly.
It's only during the Biden days that the corporate-owned
news has
suddenly
noticed them and made a big stink.
Which is unfortunate as all this stuff about gas stoves was
just getting interesting. (Hah!)

I've been watching Australian TV productions recently,
notably Tim Minchin's "Upright", and they
either begin or end theor programs with a variation
of the following
words:
"I begin today by acknowledging the Traditional Custodians
of the land on which we <gather/meet> today,
and pay my respects to their Elders past and present.
I extend that respect to Aboriginal and Torres Strait
Islander peoples here today."
What an enlightened people, these Australians.
Meanwhile,
here in the Land of the Free, our courts just continue
to screw
the original tenants.
