Joe Manchin says he approves of almost everything in
the For the People Act except for public financing
of elections.
I say "Fine, Joe. Now go vote and save Democracy."
After the next election has, hopefully, expanded
the number of Democrats in Congress we can then address
public
financing.
Call me a dreamer, but it's better than a nightmare.

I might have a solution to the power
shortage in Texas.
How about electric companies quit offering
discounts for using MORE electricity.
That's NUTS in a climate changey world.
It encourages consumers to use power
wastefully.
It's not like consumers are buying
electricity in bulk, like 50-pound
sacks of rice. We're instead burning
coal and natural gas in bulk and that's
BAD.
If all of our power came from renewables,
like solar, it wouldn't matter how
power companies sold it, but this current
system is not in this planet's best
interest.
