Take
This Job Creator and Shove It
The
ceaseless braying from the rich, which we
hear over and over on the very media they themselves
own,
is that they're the job creators. That's the reason,
they go on to say, why they deserve big
fat tax breaks for their time and trouble.
In a sense they're right, if the phrase "job creation"
means "shipping jobs overseas to make fatter profits
at home."
To me, the
real job creators in this country are the people
who dip into their precious savings to open businesses
like cute little hair boutiques, tire repair centers,
used-book
stores, mom-and-pop bakeries, local dry cleaners,
quaint pizza joints, dog-walking services and,
especially, garage-built home computers.

Chow (Eat hearty, little Google-bots!)
I'm the head of a successful company that
was started by my great-grandfather. It's
a good, steady business and I'm doing very
well for myself.
But I'm envious of people like Steve Jobs,
Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, Larry Page,
Sergey Brin, Elon Musk, and Jeff Bezos.
They all began with nothing but started companies
that employ millions and are now worth trillions.
Sigh.
I want to be poor so that I can be a job
creator, too..
