 Suppose
that asteroid had never struck the Yucatan Peninsula
some 60 million years ago. Even though
the dinosaurs would have remained the dominant life
form
there exists the outside possibility that modern humans,
or something like us, may
have
still
had a chance to evolve to become masters of this planet.
If early proto-humans could survive the lion and the
cheetah it could also survive the raptor.
If so, it would not have been a Dinotopia. It would
have been a contemptuous war bred of familiarity as
our primitive forebears used all their skills and knowledge
to ruthlessly
diminish
the dino population at every chance. Upon the invention
of the gun the dinosauria population would have been
quickly reduced to small, isolated pockets, not unlike
the
fate of the
tiger and the wolf.
Remember that an estimated 60 million American bison,
a large and dangerous animal, were killed by frontiersmen
in the 1800s in just a few short years. I doubt the
cuddly, friendly allosaurus would have fared much better
at
the hands
of pre-environmental
man.

Romney is citing a new book by Rhodes Scholar Noam
Schreiber which claims that the
Obama administration knowingly championed the health
care
bill as a means of slowing down the economy.
Only that's not what the book is about AT ALL, and
the author went
on TV to say so.

Republican Job Creation Update
 6-8-2012: The
House passed a bill to repeal a new excise
tax on medical
devices. The GOP refers to this as
a "jobs bill". A waste of time as the
Senate will not consider the bill.
In the meantime the GOP is still losing
its shit over light
bulbs,
voting to restrict funding for the application of
energy-efficient
lighting (Which are manufactured in Hell itself.)
No jobs were created.
