Crude Tactics

Way back in 2003 the Dubya administration was shifting its focus from Afghanistan to Iraq, catapulting its own propaganda that Iran had nukes and was preparing to to use them to fricassee every American man, woman and faithful Indian companion.

Those of use with more than two working brain cells to rub together knew this was complete and utter bullshit, that Dubya was simply horny for taking out Saddam, and even those of us with the aforementioned cerebral neurons couldn't rationally figure out why.

Turns out, it was oil. It's always oil.

Basically ever since Adolf began invading nearby countries specifically for their oil, war has been about oil. Our entrance in Vietnam was as much about Indonesian oil reserves as it was about "democracy".

(Let me stop here to remind everyone that Trump doesn't wipe his ass before determining how to make a buck off of it. Trump views life only through the lens of a used car salesman and everyone else is a mark.)

Since Day One of Trump's excursion into Iran the American public has been fed one absurd rationale after another for the attack and now, with the specter of another forever war looming, it's clear they all add up to one thing: higher oil prices for you and me and higher oil profits for them.

America doesn't even have to put boots on the ground to keep the oil money flooding into corporate pockets. All that has to happen to keep the Strait of Hormuz closed is for this administration to continue to (pretend to) shoot itself in the foot at the negotiation table while Trump rages and blusters.

Yes, I know Bibi Netanyahu is happy to have his own forever war in Gaza and Lebanon (and now Iran) to keep him out of prison, the same way Trump is glad that the Epstein files are off the front pages. But let's get real. These two men will never, ever, face any consequences for their crimes. Our society protects the rich, and before you say "Jeffrey Epstein was rich" he was also probably about to spill the child-fucking beans on a lot of powerful people and so he was eliminated. I know it wasn't suicide because I have those special brain neurons that know what "mob hit" means.

The "war in Iran" is a farce and you know this is true because Trump has already admitted gas prices will continue to rise through the end of the year. (You know, just until Democrats gain control of the government again.) And that's because he knew this would happen before the first bomb dropped.
