Looking A Grift Horse in the Mouth.
Is there any reason all of the money you spend on health insurance, minus a small administrative cost, shouldn't go directly to health care providers? Instead, huge amounts of your insurance premiums disappear into the dark abyss of insurance company CEO wallets.
There's a book called "Delay, Deny, Defend" that reveals just how insurance companies line their pockets by limiting access to healthcare by the "insured".
On the casings of the bullets that killed the United Health executive were the words "deny", "depose", and "defend". The similarity is difficult to disregard.
No one deserves to die unnecessarily. Neither insurance company executives nor cancer patients. We need to fix this, and the answer is the public option.
Just a reminder that it was Joe Lieberman who killed the public option of the ACA in 2009. His legacy is the rising amount of medical debt that affects us all and causes thousands each year to go bankrupt, many becoming homeless.
In closing I'd just like to say: "F*ck you, Joe Lieberman! I hope you enjoy roasting in Hell!"

The Matt Gaetz ethics report was evidently so packed with underage sexy-doins' that House Republicans voted tonight to hide it from the American people.
Let's see. Matt Gaetz was nominated by Trump to be (checks notes........) Attorney General.
Oh, THERE'S the problem. Trump mistook Gaetz for Merrick Garland. Could happen to anyone.
Lucky break for Matt, I suppose, as now he's free to apply for Pete Hegseth's old job.

Hey, whattaya know. Wednesday's recycled comic, which I also reposted on Reddit, became my 5th most up-voted comic there. And I've been posting this crap on Reddit for, like, forever.
It was WAYYYYYYYY more popular the second time around because I have this bad habit of portraying possible futures that most sane people would rather ignore.
---------------
Today's Retread-O-Matic comic is from September 26, 2019, the last recycled 'toon in a month-long string that helped me regain some sense of sanity. I got a lot done in my time off, including some badly needed home repairs and updating the suspension on ye olde Mustang.
Hey,
I might even floss!
And what did I miss in the past month? Mostly Trump's cabinet picks going down in flames one-by-one. Sadly, they won't be the last, so forgive me if I may choose to instead address the latest in fashion for wombats or the price of tea in China. We'll see.
Have a great weekend, all!
