Rant and can't find it?
It's
Collaboratin' Time!
High
on the top of a skyscraper the Joker and Batman are
engaged in another battle to the death. They
are literally at one another's throats when suddenly
a myterious costumed figure, unknown to either of them,
appears nearby.
He introduces himself as The Negotiator and states
that he is in the thrall of neither good nor evil.
He states that he thinks the Batman is too dogmatic
to
ever bring
peace
to
a beknighted
city and that the Joker is too chaotic to ever achieve
even his minimal criminal goals. He then tells them
that their time is past, that the world has outgrown
their
ritual
conflict, and that Gotham deserves a voice of reason
to guide them to a better future.
The Joker and Batman take a moment to carefully reflect
on the Negotiator's words before grabbing him
and flinging him over the side of the building. They
then
return
to disemboweling one another as it's the only thing
they know how to do.
And that's why we don't have a viable third political
party in this country.
