The
Party's Over
Make
no mistake about it. Wall Street, aided by decades
old Republican policies, fleeced the American public
for billions of dollars in 2008. They then turned around
and blamed the government for causing the problem,
using the contrived, corporate-backed Tea Party and
its propaganda megaphone, Fox
News, to
spread
the
message that too much government regulation was the
problem.
Yes, too much government regulation. As though firing
cops would result in less crime. As though getting
rid of the military would keep our borders safe. As
though getting rid of speed limits would make the roads
safer.
Enough "room-temperature" voters accepted
this absurd idea of government overreach, along with
not-so-subtle
racist
sentiments,
that it resulted
in sizable
gains
for the Republican Party in
the 2010 mid-term elections.
Dozens of Tea Party candidates entered the doors of
Congress and proceeded to do.... nothing. They've sat
on their hands for an entire year, watching the economy
drift along aimlessly so they can blame Mr. Obama in
2012.
Quit voting for these people. Please. The Republican
Party has screwed up just about everything that it
has touched
over the last 10 years and, arguably, for the past
30 years.
Republicans brought us a president who was selected
by the Supreme Court despite losing the popular vote.
They brought us a war in Afghanistan... but didn't
get bin Laden. They brought us a war in Iraq... based
on lies about WMD. They brought us trillion-dollar
tax cuts for the wealthy that exploded our debt. They
brought
us
the financial crisis that created the Bush Depression.
In 2008, they nominated Sarah Fucking Palin to be vice
president of the United States ... and when they lost
that election,
they brought us the
Tea Party. When they got back into office, they held
middle-class tax cuts hostage, threatened to shut down
the government, and brought us to the edge of default
with the debt limit crisis.
Even with the Republican Party's overt hindrance of
the economy the GDP is increasing at 3% and
climbing. Unemployment is dropping steadily.
The only thing that will hurt this country is if those
greedy, ignorant, corporate-toadying bastards continue
to be voted into office by idiots who only hear "abortion",
"god", and "gays". That, of course,
is not you, dear reader, but you know these people.
Talk to them. Remind
them.

Republican Job Creation Update
1-11-2012:
Congress will return to session on January 17th. They
will work for six whole days this month. Must be nice.
Don't expect much Federal job creation during this
period.
