Is
Xmas over already?
Dang it.
Just when I was starting to hit my "seasonal video"
stride. Another week or so and I could have managed
to squeeze in a few more viewings of "Mr. Magoo's
Christmas Carol" and/or "A Christmas Story".
Better luck next year,
Ralphie.
Generally speaking, I did pretty well this year in
the gift-receiving department, mainly because my family
decided to forego the usual gift swap, so I didn't
go home with a handful of novelty t-shirts and more
coffee
mugs than your average Starbucks. Instead, the kith
and kin collectively donated a handsome sum to the
American
Cancer Society
in honor
of my late sister, Karen.
My dear nephew didn't get the memo, though, and bequeathed
upon me an heirloom-quality, though disappointingly
PG-rated, print of Larry Welz's "Cherry Poptart".
If you don't know what I'm referring to then its probably
just as well.
Beloved girlfriend surprised me with a snazzy table
saw which I shall put to good use. She also whipped-up
one hell of an exceptional Xmas Eve meal featuring
the finest in Polish comfort foods. Who knew she could
find pierogies in ethnic-blighted Dallas?
We also made some Santa-hat
Brownies. Just sayin'.
Hope you had a great holiday. Now onward to 2012!

Republican Job Creation Update
"We're
going to have a
relentless focus on creating jobs." -
John Boehner, February
10, 2011.
The following is #125 in a
list of Republican
job creation activities
since the GOP gained
control of the
House in 2011.
None,
sad
to
say,
have
yet to result in
one, single new
job.
(125) 12-26-2011: At the moment the GOP is home and
snug in their whorehouses, licking their wounds as
a result
of the Payroll
Tax ass-kicking they so justly deserved, but I'm sure
they'll be back at work torturing the poor and the
weak any day now.
NOTE: As a result of an unexpected wave of enthusiasm
the Republican
Job Creation update now
has its own web site. It will
remain
on the RP but
a web site of its own will raise
its visibility on the 'net as
we progress towards the critical
2012 elections. And I thank you
for your support.
