We
Are the 99%
The
#Occupy protests raging all across this country are
simply about how money, torrents of corporate cash,
is driving the American political
process.
It's primary goal being to further enrich the top 1%
and dispossessing everyone else.
But how could this measly 1% manage to get enough votes
to gain that sort of political power?
It's all about percentages.
About 30 years ago the GOP and its corporate brethren
decided to put all of their political eggs into one
statistical basket.
They
looked
for issues that the public felt strongly about and
subsequently wooed the larger demographic. That's why
they're now outwardly the party of guns, god, and white
people. Inwardly they're the party of Screwing the
99%.
Its inevitable
incarnation is the armed, racist Tea Partiers we saw
dominating the conservative news cycle leading up to
the 2010 mid-term elections, a Redneck Constituency
that's
only
too happy to take the opportunity to screw over a minority,
even if it means screwing themselves in the process.
They feel it's unfair for "others" to
expect good schools and accessible
health care... forgetting that they, themselves, are
in the same economic boat.
(I.E.,
most federal aid goes to red states.)
But as long as Democrats support all faiths and not
just one, restrict access to guns generally used
in warfare, and feel that all Americans deserve the
chance to pursue their happiness, rather than just
the melanine-challenged, then the Redneck Majority
will see to it that we're all noseless in their spiteful
Paradise.
I invite you to read more about this false
divide.

Republican Job Creation Update
"We're
going to have a relentless focus on creating
jobs." -
John Boehner, February 10, 2011.
The following is #96 in a list of Republican
job creation activities
since they gained control of the House in
2011. None, sad to
say,
have
yet to result in one, single new job.
(96) 10-12-2011: Hey! Look at that! The GOP voted down President Obama's jobs
bill. Good thing they had another jobs bill of their own ready to.... Oh, they
didn't?
Really? What a shock.
NOTE: As a result of an unexpected wave of enthusiasm
the Republican
Job Creation update now has its
own web site. It will remain on the RP but a
web site of its own will raise its visibility
on the 'net as
we progress towards the critical 2012 elections.
And I thank you for your support.
