I don't know if you've noticed
this but I have titled every page of this site
in December with words beginning with
the letters "adv".
The page of 12-2-09 was titled "The Advent
Web Comic". The following days were labeled "The
Advantageous Web
Comic", "The Adventurous Web
Comic", "The Adversarial Web
Comic"
and, on the 11th,
"The Advil Web
Comic". This was not, as you might guess,
an attempt to shamelessly extort a few ad bucks
out of Wyeth
pharmaceuticals
although, come to think about it, Lefty could
sure use a new set of his-and-her
Maserati's.
But I digress.
I called the above to your attention as the
12-17-09 Pearls Before Swine cartoon used a similar
theme:

but Bob Dylan has just released an album of Xmas
music and all
of the proceeds are being donated to Feeding
America.
Yes,
that Feeding America, the nation’s
leading domestic hunger-relief charity, the very
one I've been haranguing, goading, bullying people
to visit for the past
month.
Now go, and for the sake of Mr. Highway
61, donate something. Anything. And buy
the damn album while you're at it.
