"Any intelligent fool can make things bigger,
more complex, and more violent. It takes a touch of
genius, and a lot of courage to move in the opposite
direction." - Albert Einstein
Long
Story Short: One last bit of Bush-bashing.
Karl
Rove is laughable but now he's trying to be funny... I hope.
Today on Face the Nation he stated that Barack Obama will
pick a VP based on politics not "readiness".
Is he honestly trying to make us forget that George Bush
has proved to be the most unready president
in American History? (Leaving aside, for now, the fact
that he yet to win either election honestly.)
It's clear to all but the most avid neocon that Chimpy McFlightsuit
was never the sharpest knife in the drawer, but here's an
enlightening
anecdote
that
Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Ron Suskind recently
revealed.
Little
King George was becoming miffed in his first days in
office. It seems that during the cabinet meetings the staff
was directing
all their questions to vice-president Dick Cheney. After
several meetings of this Bush had a tete-e-tete with Mr.
Cheney
saying,
in essence, that he wanted his ball back. Dick said he'd
no longer take questions and would, instead, simply take
notes. (Presumably so he could tell Bush what all those
adults in the room were talking about afterwards. =mike=)
I rest my case.
Without doubt Barack Obama will pick a veep based on political
advantage because, as near as I can tell, there are few who
are more
ready to lead this country than Mr. Obama himself. So Mr.
Rove's statement is very much along the line's of "I'll
betcha the
sun goes
down
tonight."
That's nice, Karl. Now get back to your cave. Cthulhu is
waiting for his barbecued puppy tongues.
