Did
you know that, in the 1950s, one
of the top items on the Republican
Party platform
was "strong unions".
But then the Civil Rights
Act came along and conservatives
changed their horses midstream
from economic to social,
wagering instead on the immense
pool of white voter unrest
over imagined loss of their
freedoms
to black folk. Sixty
years of fomenting fear among
white evangelicals later,
topped by the cherry of a
Kenyan
Muslim in the White House,
has lead us to a Russian
tool with his ignorant, narcissistic
paws all over the levers
of government.
Sigh.
All Republicans had to do
was stick to their guns and
champion unions. But, no.
Greed and power were more
important than the Great
Melting Pot.
