Mad
As Hell.
The
recent SOPA fracas revealed two very important things
to the internet community. The first is that the political
process has profound effects on the lives of each and
every one of us and, second, that as a community we
have far more influence on
the legislative process than we ever dared imagine.
Let's not forget that.
Stay vigilant. Don't give up now, or ever.

This
past Saturday night Beloved Girlfriend and I rented
a movie called "The
Guard". It turned out to be subversively
funny, fearsomely un-PC, and delightfully well-written.
This is a movie for adults.
It was in theatres this
past summer but I think the language barrier (thick
Irish
accents
abound)
may
have deterred movie goers somewhat. So go rent this
little gem and turn on the subtitles. It's worth it!

Republican Job Creation Update
1-23-2012: Not
much today. Just a panel discussion on doing business
with the military, plus some GOP shenanigans
called the Legally Binding Budget Act of 2011. Simply
put, it's an attempt to make the president culpable
for lousy budgets.
