Once
Is Never Enough
So what does the blue
egg in this comic represent?
Everything.
By that I mean every bit of legislation that the Democratic-led
House and Senate has tried to pass since early 2009.
The
Republican Party, you see, has made it part of their 2010
and 2012 election strategies to block any legislation that
comes their way. To aid them in this regard the GOP is currently using the filibuster
more than
at
any time in American history. They are, by uniformly voting no on everything,
blocking any real stimulus, thus driving America deeper into the economic dumper.
The next step in the plan is to blame Democrats for their "failure",
something they're presently doing with the aid of Fox News, the propaganda wing
of the GOP, and with alarming success.
Come November way too many voters will suddenly look up from American Idol, notice
the piles of bills stacking up, and will troop en masse to the polls to vote
Republican. It'll happen, folks, only this time the black vote won't be there
as it was in
such large measure in 2008, bolstering the liberal totals.
Such is the fever dream the Republican's are counting on
to triumphantly sweep them back into office in 2010 and 2012,
whereupon they'll begin right back where they left off in
2008... which
is robbing
the
country
blind.
That's their job, and they're damn good at it.
This is the kind of evil that was previously only seen in
the movies, an entertaining fiction, but one in which the
bad guys always got their rightful comeuppance
in the last reel. This time unfortunately the Right Wing owns almost everything
you see, hear and read, not to mention having the Supreme Court in their pocket,
and they're writing the scripts. To hear them tell it, Dr. No, Hannibal Lecter
and
Michael
Myers
would've
all
been
much
nicer
guys
if
only they'd been given enough tax cuts.
