incuriosity and an 8-second attention span.

I make this rather confident claim as polls are beginning
to appear indicating support for the president sinking
below 50%. This is mainly a
result of
the
rotten
economy
but
good
old racism, no doubt, lurks deep in the numbers. Would
that my progressive piscine brethren, disappointed
that they didn't get their magic flying fishbowls, recall
the momentous conservative catastrophe that's left
us on the brink of another
depression
before they start pointing fingers at the White House.
Bloop.
I personally think Mr. Obama has done a splendid job
in the face of crushing economic adversity, including
a right-wing political party whose official policy
is
to only say
"no" and a corporate media whose big-picture view
of the
world
is limited
to the small screen, and the bottom line.
For the next 14 months those very same TV's are going
to be featuring a billion dollar's worth of non-stop
Supreme Court-approved, Citizens' United-fed right-wing
propaganda aimed right at the worm-basket of Goldfishland.
The
sharks
are swarming, and you are the sushi.

Republican Job Creation Update

The following is #93 in a list of Republican
job creation activities
since they gained control of the House in
2011. None, sad to
say,
have
yet to result in one, single new job.
(93) 10-5-2011: Today was the day the president's
jobs' bill was introduced. It was blocked by not one,
not two, but three parliamentary
procedures by the
GOP. They, of course, have the right to do that but
the least the little bastards could do is create a
jobs
plan
of their
own as a counter-move. But they can't do that as it
would expose them for the progress-blocking charlatans
they are.
NOTE: As a result of an unexpected wave of enthusiasm
the Republican
Job Creation update now has its
own web site. It will remain on the RP but a
web site of its own will raise its visibility
on the 'net as
we progress towards the critical 2012 elections.
